Club Minutes

                     March 14, 2013


This meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Club President Bob, N4CU followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation. 



The meeting was conducted by Club President Bob, N4CU. There were 16 members present.


Secretary Report:

February minutes were posted on the W4AAZ.ORG website. A motion was made to accept the minutes by Mike, KJ4FNA. The motion was seconded by Jerry, N8PXE and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.


Treasurer Report:

The Treasurer report was presented by Dave, WB4EWS. A Motion was made to accept the report by Bob, W6VVA. The motion was seconded by Jerry, N8PXE and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.


Repeater Report:



Station Report:

Richard, KE4BFX reported the station was working.  Also, the annual LLC report is due to be filed with the State of Florida, the cost is $61.25.


Training Report:

Ron, KI5FR reported the results of the training class at the Club on Sat. 9 Mar.  A total of 9 took the class and most are expected to take the test at the PARC Hamfest Sat 16 Mar.  


Website Report:

The website report was presented by Phil, N6COP who confirmed the website was working.


ARES Report:



Activities Report:

The Activities report was presented by Cal W4GMH.  As part of the station renovation, the next tech night, 28 Mar, will instead be station disassembly.  Members are encouraged to take an entire station home and ensure all is in working order.


Upcoming Activity:


6 April

(1) Triple B, Bar-B-Que from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. downtown Crestview.

(2) Boy Scout Jamboree will be held at the Okaloosa County Fair Grounds.  NOARC is looking for volunteers to provide a communication demonstrations for the scouts. 

(3) Walton Ham Tailgate will be held at the Farmers Market on 331 in De Funiak Springs, FL.


4 May

Earth day will be held in Crestview, FL.  NOARC would like to set up an all solar powered station.   Inquires will be made for the use of a solar powered van to set up the radio station.  Volunteers are needed.


Old Business:

The nominating committee made their report on a Vice-President nominee to replace Chayne, KI4WBN.  The recommendation was Bob, AJ4XK.  He was unanimously elected by a show of hands.


New Business:



A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Richard, KE4BFX, seconded by Cal, W4GMH and carried unanimously to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
