This meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Club President Bob, N4CU followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation.
The meeting was conducted by Club President Bob, N4CU. There were 17 members present.
March minutes were posted on the W4AAZ.ORG website. A motion was made to accept the minutes by Glenn, K4GAG. The motion was seconded by Mike, KJ4FNA and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
The treasurer report was presented by Dave, WB4EWS. The current club balance is $2352.38, additional dues had been collected and will be tallied for next meeting. A motion was made to accept the minutes by Bob, KI4MEU. The motion was seconded by Jerry, N8PXE and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
The repeater report was presented by Steve, N4GXX. The repeater was working fine. During the antenna party, Steve, KE4VGB attempted to work the beacon noise issue, but the noise is still there.
The station report was presented by Richard, KE4BFX. The CMOS battery was replaced on the club computer. This should allow for better computer booting and time to stay set.
The website report was presented by Phil, N6COP. The website is working. A reminder that rates are going up so Phil is shopping for the most competitive deal and requesting any leads on a better rate from club members.
The SYSOP report was presented by Sharon, KJ4TPQ. There are some DFACS and dongle problems being addressed. The reflector 30C is set to stay on for a short while, but will stay on until given a chance to shut down. Sharon also helped a new “Happy D-Star user” get on the air. There are also various nets available for D-Star user participation.
The ARES report was presented by Bob, N4CU. He is looking for a new Okaloosa Co. Emergency Coordinator (EC). He is looking for any volunteers.
The Activities report was presented by Chayne, KI4WBN. Upcoming activities:
Apr 14 – Scout-a-Rama
Apr 28-29 – Florida QSO party, looking for participants at the club station.
May 12 – Testing at the PARC club house at 9:00 AM
May 18-20 – Hamvention, Dayton, OH
Jun 23-24 – Field Day
July 20-21 – Milton Hamfest
Bob, N4CU made a motion for to use $175 from the clubs fund to provide awards for field day. In past years these awards had consisted of hats, shirts and pins. A motion was made to accept the minutes by Bob, KI4MEU. The motion was seconded by Jerry, N8PXE and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
After a round table, a motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Mike, KJ4FNA, seconded by Chayne, KI4WBN and carried unanimously to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
