Minutes for the April meeting were posted on the W4AAZ.org website. A motion to accept the minutes as posted was made by Mike KJ4FNA. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
There was no treasurer report presented.
The repeater report was presented by Bob N4CU. On 4 June 2011, we will be holding another antenna party to complete and repair what we did not do a few weeks ago. We need to raise the D-Star antenna and replace the jumper. It appears there is water in the coax. We get a high SWR reading when using high power. We hope to see all members manning lines and supporting our tower climbers.
There was no training report presented.
The report was presented by Phil N6COP. The website is up and running well.
The station report was presented by Richard W4RLR. The station needs a few volunteers to take over opening the station on Sunday afternoons. Due to issues beyond Richard’s control, he will not be able to keep the station open on Sundays. If you need to have the station open please contact Bob N4CU to assist. The station is up and running with the new chips purchased and installed along with the new batteries. Signal link is up and running for digital mode.
The ARES report was presented by Bob N4CU. He spoke about his experiences working with Walton County during their Emergency Operations test. If you wish to hear the experiences, please talk to Bob. All the lessons learned could be used by all volunteering their time during a REAL World operation.
