Club Minutes

                     March 10, 2011


This meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by club President Bob N4CU, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation.



The meeting was conducted by Club President Bob N4CU.  There were 17 members present.


Secretary Report:

Minutes for the March meeting were posted in the website.  There was no February meeting due to many members attending the Orlando Hamfest.  A motion to accept the minutes as posted was made by Richard KE4BFX.  The motion was seconded and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.


Treasurer Report

The treasurer report was presented by Bob N4CU.  A motion to accept the report as read was made by Richard W4RLR and seconded.  The motion carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.


Repeater Report:

The repeater report was presented by Steve N4GXX.  We are still waiting to get the D-Star 1.2 GHz Antenna installed.  The scheduled date for this project is the morning of April 9, 2011.  The tower climber and assistant are being notified by Bob N4CU.


Training Report:

The training report was presented by Scott AC5LT.  The code class has 5 members in attendance.  Presently they are half way through the alphabet.  The next test session for license upgrades is scheduled to be held at the Fort Walton Ham Fest on March 26th, at the Fort Walton Beach Fair Grounds at 10:00 a.m.


Website Report:

The report was presented by Phil N6COP.  The website is operating with no problems.  Dues for the site are due in July and will cost $70.  If anyone has pictures of any club activity, please forward them to Phil for input into the website.



The station report was presented by Richard W4RLR.  The station is operating well.  It is open on Sunday afternoon at about 2:00 p.m. for those wishing to use equipment they don’t have.  There is another computer that is operational and connected ready for the next competition with N1MM installed.  The TRI-Plexer is out being repaired.  D-Rats have been installed.  There is a battery inside the transceiver that needs to be replaced.  Richard W4RLR will get this completed. 


ARES Report:

The ARES report was reported by Bob N4CU.  Chayne KI4WBN is now the new assistant DEC.

Old Business:

Planning for the Blackwater, Bluegrass, & Barbeque is taking place.  If you are free please get with Bob N4CU and sign up for one of two times frames to us your HT skills.  The club has supported this event for the past four years.  If you volunteer to work, you will receive a $10 ticket to use at a food booth of your choosing.


New Business:

On March 19, 2011 there will be three QSO parties.  Come out and participate.

Code class will be at 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. that same day.



General Discussion:

Bob N4CU made a motion to adjourn the Meeting.  The motion was seconded and carried unanimously by a show of hands with no opposing votes.
