Repeater Report:

The repeater report was presented by Steve N4GXX.  The 36 machine is working however there are indications that there is water in the jumper.  To correct this will require a climber to ascend the tower and replace the jumper then seal the line.   While the climber is up the tower we need to attach the 1.2 GHz D-Star antenna for the county.  Steve KE4VGB volunteered to complete this task.  Two other club members stated they would like to train to climb the tower to relieve the demand on Steve.  Safety harnesses will be required.   Jerry N8PXE will try to borrow a “Safety Climb.”  Safety is paramount.  The date to climb is pending approval by Jim WAAZ.

Training Report:

There was no training report presented.

Website Report:

There was no website report presented.

Station:

The station report was presented by Steve W4RLR.   The NOARC club is open every Sunday at 2 PM for those members that wish to use our station equipment.  The usage of this benefit is poor.  If there isn’t interest, the station will close until more interest is voiced.  What an opportunity for those wishing to increase their ham knowledge or just rag chewing on equipment they don’t have.

ARES Report:

The ARES report was presented by Bob N4CU.  The PARK Club held a Tech Night at the new EOC building at the college.  Several NOARC members were in attendance.  Steve KB4OID conducted the walk through tour of the new facility.   For those who did not attend, there will be another walk through on 27 January at 0700 for our next Tech Night.

A question arose about our current club site being designated as an alternate EOC.  Steve N4GXX stated we are an alternate EOC for Field day as well as during emergencies.  Dorcas Fire House #42 is still an active station and will be a fueling point as well as distribution point when deemed necessary.  Richard W4RLR is currently working with Steve KB4OID putting the County Emergency Plan together that will clarify the Dorcas Fire House #42 function during disaster’s.   There will be more information to follow.
