This meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by club President Bob N4CU followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation.
The meeting was conducted by Club President Bob N4CU. There were 13 members present.
Minutes for the September meeting were posted on the W4AAZ.org website. A motion to accept the report was made by Glen W4GAG. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
The treasurer report was presented by Bob KI4MEU. A motion to accept the report as read was made by Richard KE4BFX. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes.
There was no report presented. BOB N4CU stated we as a club need to get a volunteer to get trained to assist in tower climbs. Two bodies up the tower are better than one.

Bob N4CU reported the 3 State SET training on October 2nd and 3rd by the Red Cross appears to have gone well. There were several forms of message traffic tested along with message taking and transmitting. There needs to be more message taking and transmitting to speed up the process. There is always room for improvements. Newer methods of message taking needs to be researched such as D-Rats.
October 15th and 16th Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) has been canceled by the Boy Scouts due to lack of participation.
Bob N4CU wanted to know if anyone owned or could put their hands on an offset oscillator attenuator. This devise is used to locate the fox along with your radio during a fox hunt. If there was interest in the future, there are kits that can be purchased for about $20 that can be built during a future Tech Night. There will be more information presented in the future.
Bob N4CU stated our Christmas Party will be on December 17th at the North Baptist Church at 4681 Highway 20, Niceville. This location is the same as the past couple of years and will be a POT Luck dinner. There will be more information presented during our November general meeting.
Bob N4CU made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously by a show of hands with no opposing votes.
