Repeater Report:

Steve-N4GXX reported on the D-Star repeater. Great discussion was held on coordinates of the tower and how we could complete the internet connections. We have purchased the bullets and the connectors are being placed on CAT 5 cable. A motion was made to purchase 1000 feet of STP cable Cat 5E with a box of connectors not to exceed $300.00 by Bob-KI4MEU. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously by a show of hands to accept the motion with no opposing votes. This cable will be used on the tower and is heavy enough to protect it from lighting strikes.

Training Report:

Ron-KI5FR requested we place information on the reflector to inform Hams that several Elmer's have CW kits to purchase. So folks wishing to learn CW could build their own kits. These kits require soldering skills, which Bob-WA6VVA will teach these future CW folks how to solder. Soldering irons have been seen on the internet for about $12.00. Classes will be scheduled at a later date.

Website Report:

Phil-N6COP stated the clubs web site W4AAZ.ORG is working well.

There was no one present to give the station report.

ARES Report:

The Northwest Florida State College has donated a tower to our club to sell and place the proceeds into our treasure.

Cal Zethmayr W4GMH commented to the club that we have some undeveloped resources...namely the 100+ new amateurs that were licensed as a result of our Tech License classes. We need to help those that have HT's or any other radio to get them programmed, and get them on the air. Programming help will be provided at the PARC Hamfest.
